Neighbor to Neighbor
Joining hands to provide children and families we serve with the basic necessities that most of us take for granted.
Lutheran Family Services of Virginia and Minnick Education Center sincerely appreciate the Virginia Synodical Women's Organization past support. With your help, families who could not afford the basic necessities have been able to clean their homes. With your help, children return to school with the basic supplies necessary to begin learning. With your help, children enter Treatment Foster Care homes with duffel bags full of personal care supplies, and more importantly, self-esteem. Thank you for being GOOD NEIGHBORS!
Help enhance a teen’s self esteem.
Youth in Treatment Foster Care have been removed from their home due to neglect or abuse, and often have few or no personal possessions. Personal Care Kits allow them to go to their Treatment Foster Family with something to call their own. Foster Care youth already feel different. To help them feel more like their peers, they prefer “young” personal care products. You may want to seek recommendations from members of your congregation’s youth group as to what young people use and enjoy!
