Lutheran Family Services is celebrating its 120th Anniversary this year, and to help commemorate this occasion, we created the first LFS Hearts & Hands Awards for service.

We received 24 nominations of people who exemplified outstanding service to their church or civic community, dedication to improving services to children and families and a commitment to engaging others to work toward a common goal. It was hard to make a decision -- as our Board members and judges, Robin Baliles, the Rev. Harvey Atkinson and Vicki Sharps, will attest.

Congratulations to Hearts & Hands Award winners Don and Joanne Tolmie and Tori Smith and Gold winners Antoinette Goodrich, Hunter Fauber and Jerry Kite. I invite you to read about all the outstanding nominees and to honor them for their dreams of possiblity and positive change.

Blessings,

Julie Swanson
Chief Executive Officer
