Job Requirements:  The Newport News Professional Parent therapeutic foster care program, which is a partnership between the Hampton/Newport News Community Services Board and Lutheran Family Services, is seeking families to serve as teaching parents for emotionally disturbed children or adolescents. Candidates should have a minimum BA degree plus 3 years experience working with emotionally disturbed or at risk children or adolescents in a professional setting. Eight years experience in a professional setting may be substituted for degree. The primary parent must be willing to not work outside of the home and have no other children in the home.
