Domestic Infant Adoption
LFSVA works with prospective adoptive parents who are doing an agency placement in Virginia or another state. LFSVA can provide home study and post-placement services. Virginia requires three post-placement visits in the first six months after a child is placed in your home. We also do post-placement visits with out-of-state adoptions. These visits are to assess your family and your child's adjustment. When it is time to make the adoption final, LFSVA handles the necessary reporting.
If you do not have a placing agency identified, LFSVA can provide a list of commonly used agencies.
